Clothing and Blanket Donations

May 18, 2016

“If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?”

— James 2:15-16

Thank you for all the Clothing, Blanket and Bible Donations

New clothes for the Orphans at La Tremble school.

It is so wonderful to receive donations for clothing and blankets as the poor have no money to buy clothing, and in many cases, the children are left to roam naked about the villages. God has called us to “clothe the naked” and so many of you answered that calling with wonderful clothing, bonnets, and blankets, which are so desperately needed. Many of the children get worms and parasitic invasions of their bodies, so they really need to be covered for health reasons. Nights are also very cold up in the mountains, and so many babies and young children have no hats or bed coverings. These simple gestures of offering clothing and blankets mean so much to people in these poor villages. Thank you all!

Pastor Jentezen Franklin’s Free Chapel

“Clothing the naked.” We are so thankful for the donation of beautiful school uniforms from one of the members of Pastor Jentezen Franklin’s Free Chapel in Gainesville, Georgia. These shirts and shorts are “just like new!” The children loved them!!! Thank you so much to our wonderful partner for donating these new clothes through Free Chapel! These children all live in mud huts, they have never had anything “new!”

We wish to thank our friends at “Free Chapel – Clothe A Child” for the beautiful blankets and clothing they sent to the children of Haiti. The little ones here at our Love A Child Orphanage had big smiles on their faces when they saw these beautiful blankets!!! Thank you so much to our friends at “Free Chapel – Clothe A Child!” We love you, and the children of Haiti love you too!

We had a wonderful day in Sapaterre giving out food, new clothes and Bibles to the new converts from our last crusade there! The Bibles that we gave out were the first Bibles they have ever owned in their lives! A special thanks to David George and his partners for sponsoring the Bible distribution in Sapaterre.

Wendy, Wade, Jack and Avery Lance

We distributed clothing in Old Le Tant. The clothes were donated by some of Bobby’s relatives, Wendy, Wade, Jack and Avery Lance, who had visited us in Haiti. The ladies from the village came inside and received clothing for themselves, their children, and their husbands. They were so happy! “Thank you Lance Family” for your precious gift to bless the poorest of the poor with clothing! We love you!

Praise Cathedral

“When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? Or naked, and clothed thee?” Jesus then told His disciples that when we do something to the “least” of His little ones we do this unto Jesus. We want to thank Praise Cathedral of Melbourne, Florida, for their donation of these wonderful golf shirts and shorts for the poor children and their parents here in Haiti! We have been distributing them for several months and everyone is so thankful!!

We visited Pastor Claude’s orphanage in La Tramble and gave out lots of golf shirts and shorts that will be used as uniforms for the school there.

We did another food and clothing distribution in the village of Madamn Bauje. Special thanks to Jesse Ostrander who put this “gift” together for the poor of Haiti and who made sure that these beautiful clothes came all this distance to clothe the poor!

Because of some recent political unrest, our workers had to take the back roads and distribute food and clothing to the villages of Le Tant and Nacou, blessing many people! After that, we gave away clothing to lots of local church ladies and school children! Again, we thank Praise Cathedral of Melbourne, Florida and Jesse Ostrander for all of his hard work to make this happen! We love you, partners!

Baby Bonnets from Dr. Pat.

We want to thank “Dr. Pat” for all her hard work and her labor of love. She came and helped at our Lastik Mobile Medical Clinic several months ago, where we had a lot of infants who were brought to the clinic.

Dr. Pat was so touched with all these babies, that she made lots of “baby bonnets.” These were given out at our Savaan Pit Mobile Medical Clinic. “Thank you so much, Dr. Pat!”

Look how cute all these babies are with their newly knitted caps from Dr. Pat. These knitted caps are keeping lots of baby’s heads warm especially up in the mountains of Savaan Pit, where we distributed these handmade knitted caps.

New knitted cap will keep her head warm in the mountains at night.

Ruska Village Orphanage

These precious little children received shoes and sundresses! We help our missionary friends Barbara Walker and Mark Gilbert, who care for the children at Ruska Village Orphanage in Haiti. The shoes came from our friend Shelly Perkins, who keeps us in clothes, and other donations. The cute sundresses came from A Labor of Love Ministries.  When we network together, like the Body of Christ, we can help so many more children.

We recently received a lot of blankets, gifts, and dresses that were handmade by several of our donors. These are some of the blankets that came from Laura Jordahl, who makes many beautiful, handmade blankets for Haiti’s children.

We shared Virginia Thompsen’s handmade blankets and some very cute dresses that the children loved. Charlotte Hanson also donated a lot of little girls’ handmade pillowcase dresses. We visited the very poor village of Old Le Tant to distribute the clothing to many of the young children there, who have little or no clothes.

Thank you to everyone who keeps these poor Haitians in your heart when you donate all these lovely clothing items, blankets, baby bonnet, Bibles and other gifts. The Haitians in these remote villages never get anything new, so it was a very exciting day at each village when we visited to hand out clothing, blankets and so much more. We know that each recipient will cherish all these homemade items. We can’t thank you enough for donating all these items. It means so much to the people that receive them, and that they know someone cares about them.
