Sharing Food…

A Creole Proverb…
“Moun ki pa manje pou ko-l pa janm grangou…”
“Those who share with others, always have something to eat…”

Love A Child and you are changing lives.  When you partner
with us, you are making a difference in the lives of thousands each
and every day. Each day, we provide food for thousands
of hungry men, women and children.

Children in our schools receive a hot nourishing meal
each day.  For most of these children, this is the
ONLY meal he or she eats during the day.

Thousands of families receive food each month.

Also, over fifty other missionaries and organizations
come to the Love A Child Food Distribution Center to receive
food monthly to help feed the poor Haitians in their areas.

We are reaching far and wide in Haiti.
Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and
he shall bring it to pass.

Psalms 37:5

Recently, we received a few photos and thank you notes from some
of the missionaries and organizations that receive food from
Love A Child. Here is a note and three photos from Sherrie Fausey
of Christian Light School.

Good morning,

We know other schools are open, but Christian Light School has
been open for two weeks.  The children were all so very excited to
come back to school.  I am amazed at how much they have grown.  The
cute little 5 year olds that started our school in 2002 are now in the
10th and 11th grades!!!!!  These are children came from homes that
did not have enough to eat.  Most of these students were malnourished
when they started kindergarten.  They had no hope of a future. They
have grown up on the Manna Packs from Feed My Starving Children.
Now, they are strong, healthy teenagers who are already going out
serving the Haitian people.  They interpret for medical teams,
interpret for the deaf, tutor others, and are leaders in church
youth groups.

Not only are the Feed My Starving Children boxes of rice mix
feeding hungry children, they are, through these children, changing
the lives of multitudes of other Haitians.  When you feed a child, you
are changing the future of many people.  How far do the ripples in
the lake go out?  We don’t know.  Thank you for helping us raise up
servants of God and leaders for Haiti. I included one picture of
the cooks and cleaning staff choosing shoes and clothes.  These
people spend all day cleaning the school and cooking.  They are
dear sweet Christians.  When we offered our cleaning ladies shoes for
themselves, they asked if they could choose sneakers for their
husbands instead of receiving anything for themselves.
What an example they are to me!

God bless you,
Sherrie Fausey

This next note is from Pastor Jonel Bourdeau of Orphelinat
Norte-Dame Du Perpetuel Secours (ONDPS).  This is a small
non-profit organization located in Croix des Bouquets.

Hello my friends,

I hope all is well with all of your supporters.  With joy in my heart,
I write you to let you feel how the children appreciate your food
and thank you for your monthly support of Manna Pack Rice.  I
don’t know how I can thank you my friends.  And I was very happy
and appreciated the words of Mrs. Sherry Burnette.  She is very
humble and I saw in her God who chose her for His work.
She’s a very good example for people.

Thank you,
May Almighty God bless you!

Here are a couple of photos from my friend Sister Marie.
She has a work far up in the mountains near Covant.  She must
ride a donkey to get there.  Love A Child works with people of
all faiths because it takes everyone working together.
