Let Your Heart Be Broken

“Let my heart be broken with the things that break the heart of God.” – Bob Pierce, World Vision

I just saw Jesus today in the eyes of this poor woman. She had come through the “Papaya Gang” (not far from us) to come to our Jesus Healing Center. When they arrived, there was such a crowd of people that they could not get inside the back gate. Two of our local security guards, Maul and Dieupanou, saw her and a poor mother with two small children who were with her that needed medical help also. The security guards couldn’t wait any longer, so they came and got me.

Madamn Charles, the elderly woman, could not walk and had been sick for a long time. She had just been through a “gang” en route to our clinic. I smiled at her, held her hand, and told her “everything was going to be okay,” because “Jesus is here!” She smiled back. As they lifted her onto a bed to carry her inside, she looked straight into my eyes and said, “Thank you.” I replied, “Jesus is with you.” And with that, she held up both hands and began to praise the Lord as loud as she could! I just burst into tears as they carried her inside.

The poor struggle so much here in Haiti. It is difficult for them to get to a doctor because they have no money and must save what little they have for food.  They can rarely afford a doctor’s visit or even pay for their medicines and lab work. That’s why our Jesus Healing Center is such a blessing!!

Thank you, Joyce Meyer MinistriesHand of Hope for sponsoring the operating cost of our Jesus Healing Center. And thank you, Map International, World Vision, and International Aid for the medicines you recently donated. You give “hope” to the Haitian people, and we love you! Sherry
