This morning, as we walked around the building of the new Jesus Healing Center, two Haitians made this comment; “Look at all the people employed by Love A Child… yard workers, cleaning agents, workers in the depot, not counting all the men working on the new Jesus Healing Center, and those laying the road pavers.

The men said, “If you had not given them a job, many of them would have been out on the streets in a gang!”
These construction workers are from all over Haiti! Many of them work into the night, laying the tile in the new clinic. 
Two Haitians said, “But look at them! They are happy, working hard, and some are even singing as they work!” LAC employs a lot of workers, many from this area. On average, each Haitian worker feeds ten people a day! These could be family as well as friends. We believe in feeding the hungry, and we will always do that, but we really love giving them food for life, which is a job! Haitians want to work!

Especially, to those of you who give to the new Jesus Healing Center, you are not only building a beautiful new clinic, but you are giving hope to the Haitians through jobs!
