When all hope is lost…
Have you ever had your “hope” taken away? It’s a fearful feeling… it is a “sinking feeling.” A feeling of losing your way in the darkness. That loved one has just been given a bad report from the doctor, and your heart sinks to the bottom. You have lost your hope. You can lose almost anything and recover, but when you lose your “hope,” it is the worst feeling in the world.
In Acts 27:10, Paul is on a ship headed to Rome, and he knows in the spirit that “this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship but also of our lives.” But no one believed him until they were in the midst of the storm.
“And when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared, and no small tempest lay on us, all hope that we should be saved was then taken away.” Acts 27:20
Jesus “is” our hope! Things may happen in our lives, but He is our hope! Today, no matter what you are facing, do not lose HOPE in Jesus!! He still “has a ram in the bush,” and He is still our way out!
