It’s hard to believe that our sweet little Rebecca is in 9th grade this year. She is growing up fast!

When she was about three, our Haitian Director, Nelio, had heard about a man “trying to buy a three-year girl,” for himself! Nelio found the little girl and brought her to our orphanage. She has long, black hair and seems more “Dominican” than Haitian. The Department of Social Services asked us to take her, and we did!

Rebecca is such a wonderful young lady… She is one of our best in the “Praise Dances.” She “loses herself” in what she is trying to say by dancing… that all praise goes to Jesus!

Rebecca helps the moms here with cleaning, caring for the children, and doing anything else she is asked to do. She is always “helping others.” As for her future, she has not made up her mind yet… At one time, she thought about being a dentist, but maybe she will give that some thought!

The main thing is that she loves the Lord!!! And oh, yes, her nickname is “duck!”
