Her mother died during a “C-Section,” and her father abandoned her and went to the Dominican Republic. She was raised by her 17-year-old cousin, but when she could not keep up with school and taking care of Ginyia, she was brought to the Department of Social Services, which then brought her to Love A Child.
After she was about five or six, she learned to do “Praise Dances” with her “orphanage sisters.” She looks forward to going “back to school!” She and her siblings had to mop and scrub all the orphanage floors! We noticed that she “had one sandal off and one sandal on!” But that didn’t take her mind off her work. She can still work with “just one sandal!” What a sweetie!
Thank you, partners.
