The dedication of Gwo Maché Mirak began at 11:00 AM today with songs from Christian Praise and Worship Teams. There were speeches from several Haitian officials including the Mayor of Ganthier, Mr. La Pointe; the Manager of Commerce; the Director of Enterprise; Mr. Fred Joseph, Director of the Haitian Police; Mr. Fevry, our attorney; Wilson Barthelemy, Joel Trimble and many others. Thousands of people attended the dedication ceremony. We are expecting thousands more coming this evening and throughout the week, as they open the marketplace to the people of Haiti.
