Yesterday David George called me from Batey Santana, a Haitian sugarcane camp in the Dominican Republic. He was crying so hard telling me about the 84 orphans who don’t have anything, and they sleep on the floor every night in the church that has no roof because of the hurricane. He has never seen such poverty in all the bateyes that we have been to in the Dominican Republic. Just in the area of this batey there are about 6,000 children. We want to get together by faith to put the roof back on, and Love A Child wants to put the windows and a floor in the church.
