“A Single Candle…” When we first moved to Haiti in 1991, the embargo was on. For three years, we had very, very little electricity. We only had it working five percent of the time. We lived mostly by candlelight. It was amazing what a single candle could do… it would light up the whole room. When it went it out, the whole house was completely dark and dangerous. Jesus said, “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.” Matthew 5:14 — But He also said, “Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel.” It does no good. Today, “let your light shine” in the grocery store, in the bank, in school, or wherever you are. “You” are the only candle to many around you. God bless you, Sherry
