This young boy is nine-year-old “Pierre.” He lives in the garbage dumps of Truttier. We will be visiting him and his family shortly, to learn more about his life and how we can help him. He is literally “the man of the family,” as he has to search every day for food or trash in the garbage dump, and then he tries to sell it if he can. He is not in school and has no hopes or dreams for the future because “he cannot see beyond the garbage dump.” Imagine a child in the States having to live like this.
