“Is that a muscle I see?” Yes! I think so… That’s Moses growing up! He’s 15 years old and in the 7th grade. Sometimes he’s still a “little boy,” and other times he’s “a young man.” He is learning that “hard work pays off.” He’s also learning how to respect everyone, so that “people will respect you when you are older.”

Moses is learning the drums! He loves soccer, football, singing, dancing… His goal all of his life was to become the “president of Haiti,” but when all of the riots broke out against the president, he quickly changed his mind to “doctor,” which is a lot safer, but he will change it again, I know.

Moses was dropped into an outhouse in Haiti when his mother gave birth to him! I cannot imagine what was going through her mind, but by some miracle, an old man heard his cry, tied a rope around his waist, and went down “into the pit of hell” to rescue this baby. (Does this story sound familiar to us?) The local village ladies cleaned him up and sent him to a charity hospital, who called us to “please come and get him.” He has been with us since he was about a week old. I remember the day they brought him to us… He looked like a dried, shriveled up little prune. We did not think he would live, but he did! He is handsome, strong, and alive today! He is the “story of our salvation,” when Jesus reached “way down to save us!” We pray that Moses will grow up to do great things for the people of Haiti! Thank you, again, partners! Sherry
