We first found Dieuferly deep in the mountains of Covant, Haiti. His mother had nine children, two of them were sets of twins. In her arms was a small child, about 3-4 years old. He had club feet. His name was “Dieuferly,” or, “God made him.”

We brought him down with us by mule, about a five-hour mule ride or by foot, even longer… through the mountains. At that time, some U.S. military personnel were here doing surgeries. Dieuferly went through extensive surgeries with doctors who were not specialists with club feet. He had many problems with his feet and much pain, which he still has today, but he never complains. He always has a smile on his face.

He has finished his schooling and is now our Love A Child photographer. He took the pictures for Julia’s wedding. We are so proud of him. God goes to great extremes to bless His children, like Dieuferly. His life is a miracle and he gives God all the praise! We could not love him “anymore.” We feel so blessed.
