“Put your feet in the water…”

Moses had been a great leader, but now, Joshua would take on the mantle of Moses. Joshua was fearless!!! But, now, he was leading the Israelites (Bible scholars say about 1,000,000 people) across the Jordan. Now, in harvest season, the Jordan was at flood stage.

But, the Bible says, “and as the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brim of the water (for Jordan overfloweth all it’s banks all the time of harvest). That the waters which came down from above ‘stood,’ and rose up upon a heap very far from the city Adam… and the people passed over, right against Jericho.” Joshua 4:15-17

They could have all “run and hid,” for fright, but “as soon as the feet of the priests hit the water,” they stood up on a heap!! Nothing happened until they “put their feet in the water.” Today, you may be facing the biggest battle of your life, but you must do something with your faith! You must “dip your feet in the water,” you must “take the first step,” and show God your faith. You don’t need a whole lot, “just use what little you’ve got!”  Have a great day!!!!!
