“The Children from Blanquette” (pronounced blanket)
This morning, our team went to an area called, “Blanquette.”
We traveled up a rocky road for about 40 minutes, with scraggly thorn trees on both sides of the road. As we climbed to the top of the hilly, gravel road there was a large crowd of poor people. We talked to them and greeted them and then, went to the place our local pastor found, to give food. We greeted the large crowd of mothers, who were in line for food. Everyone was so patient, and everyone was thankful. After the distribution, we headed to an area between a large hill and the rocky bed. There were so many children waiting for food.
Meanwhile, the cooks were busy with big, huge pots of food cooking over the open fire. The smell of the food drifted down over the side of the mountain where little children were quietly waiting! All eyes were on the food!
We filled all the bowls full, and it was as if Jesus caused the food to be multiplied!! We just kept feeding the children and the adults too!
We wish to thank Feed My Starving Children for the food and thank our partners for sponsoring the food to come here! Just look at the faces of these precious children!! We do not have the words to say, “Thank you!”
