It is so hard to believe that Miliana is 17 this month! She is in the 8th grade, and she is so small for her age!

The first time we saw her was when we were filming for television. She was just “wandering around” the briars and thorn trees, and she was sucking on a string that hung from her dirty sweater. We brought her and Ti Mika home with us. It was easy to see that no one loved or cared for this child. She has a rare skin disease that looks like “tree trunks” growing out of her arms and legs, especially her feet. We took her to a dermatologist in the States, but he could do little for her. But now, our friends that have been helping us with her medical problems have told us that they found a really good dermatologist that can help her. We just need her Visa now. Miliana deserves to have this chance in life. We love her. She is sweet and shy, but she can be a “pistol!!” Ha!
