We are the hands and feet of Jesus…
“If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, and one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body, what doth it profit?” James 2:15-16
Bobby and I know this scripture very well because we were the ones that needed help. For many years, before we came to Haiti, we preached on the street corners of Merritt Island and Cocoa, Florida, and many other places. I recorded the “offerings” in a small book… $1.50, $1.75, $2.00 etc. This was what we had for food and gas for a “family of four.” Many times, we had people say, “I’m going to pray for you.” That was nice, but at that time, we needed something more than prayer. We know what it feels like to be poor, very poor. That is why the Lord sent us here to Haiti.
There may be times in your life when you meet someone that needs “more than prayer.” They may need an open heart, they may need someone to listen, or they may need a little money to help them get by. You may be the one that God wants to use. Each day, pray that the Lord will send you to someone in need. This is where the blessings come, obedience. Have a great day!

P.S. You may be the only “Bible” they read, or the only “light” they can see…
