David Noel is the twin brother of Jonathan Noel. I am not sure if everyone knows the story of these twins, but in case you don’t, here is “the rest of the story.” Their mother died in childbirth. They were born in the mountains of Covant (nicknamed Belle Fontaine). This area is “extremely high” in the mountains of Haiti. Their father left the twins with their Grandma, who began to feed them both sugar water. When she ran out of sugar, she gave them saltwater! This closed up their throats so that by the time they were brought to us, they were at “death’s door.”

It took months and years for these children to become well… Both twins grew up “as a handful!” It was tough to get them up and out of bed in the morning, as some teenagers are in the States, but “some ice water” helped that situation out!!! Ha!

David is now in college in Port-au-Prince, attending University UNIKA, to become a Civil Engineer in construction. We are so proud of him… However, there are “gangs” between his college and our Children’s Home. So, he has not been able to come home. We will try to get some “up-to-date” pictures. But, we are so proud of this young man, who was at one time “near death’s door.” God has a plan for every one of us.
