“The Giant and the Giant Killer!”
“This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcasses of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air…” 1 Samuel 17:46
It’s how you see the problem that determines the outcome. When Saul looked at Goliath, he thought, “He’s too big to fight!” But when David looked at the giant, he thought, “He’s too big to miss!”
We all have to face “giants” in our lives… There are all kinds of giants, but let’s say “a giant is something bigger than you…” It could be a sickness; it could be your job; it could be “facing your enemy;” it could be a lot of things… It could be something that normally would make you afraid “until you pick up your five stones and head toward the giant.” King Saul looked at Goliath and thought, “He’s too big to fight! I don’t know what I’m going to do!”
David looked at the giant and thought, “I’ve already killed a lion and a bear with my slingshot! He’s too big for me to miss!” Your “natural eye” will only see the problem, but your “spiritual eye” will see the end result! You can say, “I’ve got this! God has never failed me yet!”
Today, it’s how you see your problem that determines your outcome! Don’t even think about running from your problem, because the thing you are running from “can smell fear.” And just like a lion, or a bear, or any other huge creature, your biggest chance is not to run, but to stand and face the giant!
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13
Have a great day, because “you are already the winner!” Sherry
