“The Spirit of the Lord…”

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon is upon me…” Isaiah 61:1

How many times have we read this scripture and did not fully understand the “power” of the “Spirit of the Lord”?

For one year, we have worked so hard to get a “medical visa” for Djonsly Alcin. Nearly all of you know his story, how cancer pushed the right eye out of his head. How his mother had such strong faith in God, she would not give up until she found a clinic to help her son. Then, the “Spirit of the Lord,” spoke to her ‘to come to Love A Child.‘

That was over two years ago. A wonderful hospital took Djonsly, did his surgery, and Djonsly came back to the States. A short time later, he had to go back again for another operation. While he was in the hospital, his Visa expired but no one had bothered to look at his Passport because his mother was concentrated on her son’s health. He came back to Haiti, with an expired passport.

The Hospital called for him to come back at the beginning of this year… from then on, it was a struggle to get this Visa. But God sent us the best Christian attorney we could have. We fought so many battles for a year. We had to get a congressman to help us. For one year, we worked day and night trying to get his Visa… and it happened!

Due to the gangs, we had to go through the Dominican Republic to the airport. When we got to the airport with Djonsly and his mother, the people at the counter asked for their “Covid vaccine shots records.” (We just didn’t realize the US had passed a law that all foreigners had to have this.)

Bobby pleaded and pleaded with them, as Djonsly’s mother stood praying. Suddenly, “the Spirit of the Lord God” came upon Bobby, like warm oil. Right then, Bobby knew the “current would change!”

The head man at the counter looked at Bobby and said, “This is a Humanitarian Emergency. He can go!” Had it not been for “the Spirit of the Lord,” Djonsly would be back in Haiti, dying of cancer, with no hope.

Today, whatever your problem, the “Spirit of the Lord,” will solve the problem!
