Our sweet Dumolia is doing well in her college in Jamaica. Dumolia was brought to us by her father when she was about four. A large pot of boiling water had fallen on her, melting the skin on her neck and chest.
She was taken to a hospital in Haiti, but she was left with such severe scars that she could not turn her neck or lift her arms. Her entire chest was also badly burned.
We spent many years sending her to a hospital in Boston for skin grafts. She went to an English-speaking school there.
She also went to an English-speaking school in Haiti in her last year. When she graduated, she wanted to pursue a career in the medical field, but in Haiti, there were no colleges that spoke English. So, we sent her to Jamaica.
Now, because she is still growing, she has pains in her chest. She will need surgery and skin grafting again. She is trying to hold out till the summer.
Keep her in your prayers. She is a sweet, loving young lady who loves the Lord. And all of us love her!!
