Vegetables, Yum!

Just look at these beautiful beets and spinach being planted! Buying vegetables here in Haiti is expensive because in most areas the soil is not good and there is little water.

“Boss Wilner” has been working here for years, teaching his crew how to care for the soil and raise good vegetables. He also heads up our Agricultural Training Center, which is sponsored by our partners. A poor farmer who cannot grow “anything” due to poor soil and lack of water, will learn how to grow beautiful healthy vegetables “in the middle of nowhere!”

It takes a lot of vegetables to feed an orphanage of 85 kids, plus adults, and we are miles from a grocery store. To go to that grocery store, we would have to go through “gang territory!” Thank you, partners, who have supported our Agricultural Training Center, and thanks to Boss Wilner and Rad Hazelip, whose vision “keeps us going!” We love them all for their hard work!!!

Below is an email we received from Wilner.

Good morning Big Boss! I hope you are very well.
This is the big spinach and beet plantation in the new LAC garden we have yesterday and today.

This year, the ATC team is determined to produce more vegetables for the LAC kitchens.
We want to meet Mummy Mom Sherry’s demands and we want to respect His request.
