“A Missionary’s Prayer.”

So many people have asked Bobby and me through the years, “How do you do it? How can you live and work in Haiti for 33 years and face earthquakes, floods, hunger, gangs in the streets, etc.?”

It all has to do with “the price of your calling.” No, it has not been easy “missing our grandchildren’s birthdays, and being away from our own children.” But, that’s what happens when you agree “to take up your cross and follow Jesus.” You know what I’m talking about because all of us have paid “some type of price,” to follow Jesus. But, we count it a privilege to say “yes!” Jesus said, “If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” Matthew 16:24

That’s our prayer… to wake up in the morning and “be able to pick up our cross,” and continue the journey. Jesus is worth “every step!” I know you feel the same way too. Blessings, Sherry
