The Bernards and the Jean Louis family have been living in a thatch hut in La Source since losing their homes in last year’s earthquake. Imagine 11 children and five adults trying to live in a house smaller than the average American bedroom. The heat, the rain, the mosquitos, and the bugs alone on the dirt floor make these conditions unimaginable. Today because of Love A Child and our partners, these two families have rice, beans, and oil to make a meal after days and weeks of famine, along with a large two-room tent to get them out of the elements.
