“A Very Present Help.”
What a comfort these words are in the times we are living in: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea. Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the Holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God shall help her and that, right early.” Psalm 46:1-5
If you have never gone through an earthquake, a tornado, or a hurricane, you may not understand what fear can do. The only peace and comfort we have, especially in “these times,” is the Lord our God. We must keep our focus on Him! He is still your “very present help” in the time of trouble and, the “only help,” you can depend on. Keep your eyes on Him, only! Blessings!
