Sweet little Jonas was found when we were taping a TV program in the mountains. We saw a young boy “hoeing in the fields in the heat of the summer sun, working with grown men.” His parents were dead and he became a “restavek slave child!”

We brought him to our orphanage, and it was a tough year getting Jonas to adjust to love, adjust to school, and getting him to adjust to “not being beaten every day!” He also had a hard time “learning how to hold a pencil in his hand.” He is doing well… works hard in the yard, and always has a good attitude! We love Jonas but, he needs to go on a diet! We love this kid!
