“…and this is but a light thing in the eyes of the Lord…” 2 Kings 3:18
So, you think your problem is too big for our “big God”? You don’t know any way out? Maybe you think that God cannot do what He says He will do… This message is from the Lord, for someone in particular, who has been praying and worrying over a situation…
In 2 Kings chapter 3, three major kings were going to battle together against the king of Moab. They were the king of Israel, the king of Judah, and the king of Edom. They all started out on a long journey, taking a lot of cattle with them for their army. They headed to the south around the Dead Sea to come up and surprise the Moabites. But they didn’t count on there “not being any water.” There was no water for the horses, or the cattle, or themselves. Now they found themselves in a “mess” (like some of us)! But Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, decided to find the prophet, Elisha. Elisha prayed and God gave a miracle…Elisha told them to “make the valley full of ditches!”
“For thus saith the Lord, ‘Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts; And this is but a light thing in the sight of the Lord. He will deliver the Moabites also into your hand.’” – 2 Kings 3:18. God not only gave them an “abundance of water, but He gave them victory in the battle!”
So today, when you pray, know that “it is but a light thing in the eyes of the Lord,” so just begin to thank Him ahead of time! He is able to do “more than enough!” Sherry
