Here is little Ginyia and she is in 4th grade at our Love A Child School! She is “one smart cookie!” We were told that her real name is very long and probably Dominican. Her mother died during a “C-Section” and her father deserted her and left for the Dominican Republic. He never returned for Ginyia, and she was raised for a while by her 17-year-old cousin. But soon, she could no longer care for a baby. She was taken to the Department of Social Services and they called us. She was very shy when she came here, but soon she was “part of the family.”

Ginyia is “all girl!” She loves dolls, jump rope, puzzles, dressing up, and being in the “Praise Dances!” The kids have a nickname for everyone, and her nickname is “fon fon boulet” (Big Forehead). She is very smart in school, quiet and sweet, and doesn’t “miss a thing!” She wants to be a nurse… and LOVES school!!! We love her!
