Early this morning, we told you about all the poor families that had to leave their homes due to gangs taking them over! They could only take what they carried in their hands and walked for miles, looking for a shelter. When we heard of their plight, we got together with our workers and our older Haitian children. We filled a flatbed with blankets, clothing, sheets, diapers, toys, and other items, and the mothers waiting in line received them. Dieuferly, Esther, and others went. We are out of our Feed My Starving Children food, but we have seven containers coming through the Dominican Republic in January.
Dieuferly did an excellent job of organizing and taking these pictures! And a lot of other workers helped as well! We know that the people who fled were happy to know that “they were not forgotten!” Even in the middle of despair, Jesus is still there.
