Rebecca is just a special young girl. Nelio, our administrator here in Haiti, came to us one day, about 13 years ago, telling us about a man “who was going to sell a little girl, to another man!” I said, “Pay the guy and bring her here!” I was so upset about this. Not much is known about her parents. I suspect they either died or maybe fled to the Dominican Republic, leaving her behind.

Rebecca has beautiful, long, wavy black hair. She is not only beautiful, but she is sweet, kind, and obedient! She loves dancing in the “Praise Dances” that teenage girls do. She is now 14 and wants to be a dentist! After school, she helps with chores around the orphanage and in the morning, she volunteers at our “Jesus Healing Center,” (see photo). We will see where her footsteps lead her, but one thing is for sure, she is on “the winning side with Jesus!”
