When I first saw Mackenson in the arms of his father, I thought, “Surely this toddler will die.”

But, I was “more than shocked” when I found out that this “toddler” was seven years old! Malnutrition had stolen many years already.

We had to bring him back to Fond Parisien and begin the long path to try to get him back to health!

He was doing well until he reached fourth grade, and he had a “stroke!”

It took many months of therapy to get him to walk, and now, he still has trouble using his hand and walks a little “crooked.”

He is now 15; he is in 9th grade, and he has his eyes focused on becoming a “Math teacher!”

He cannot play soccer, but he loves “word games” and dominoes! Mackenson is a “Miracle.”
