“In a dark place…”
Have you ever found yourself in “a dark place” in your life? Maybe someone that you loved passed away, and you feel that you cannot go on… Or maybe your son or daughter has been taken by drugs and their personality has changed and you can’t seem to “reach them.” There are times in our life when God lets us go “through a dark place.”
David often found himself in “a dark place.” He had been chosen of God, fought Goliath, the giant, married the King’s daughter, and yet, because of jealousy, David found himself running from Saul. There are times when he hid in caves and felt that he “was in a dark place,” and that God didn’t care. But he said, “It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.” (Psalm 119:71)
He found himself knowing, that even in his trials, God was with him… “If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there […] If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.” (Psalm 139:8-11)
Every seed has to be put “in a dark place,” so that it can sprout back up. So today, if you are in “a dark place,” rest assured that you will not be there much longer! God is about to bring you out!!! Sherry
