Education here in Haiti is a dream! For children in the mountains, it is not easy… It’s almost impossible.

These children are blessed because they are in a Love A Child School. They do not have to pay tuition, but their parents will supply the uniforms.

This is a preschool class. We have grades up to 6th grade in the morning, and in the afternoon, they have junior high and high school.

Education for Haitian children is vital… Imagine being an adult and you cannot read or write. You have only a dim future. The main reason there are so many street gangs is that they have not had the opportunity to go to elementary school or high school. How could they ever get a job in the future?

When we were held up at gunpoint by a gang a year ago, most of the boys were under 14 or 15. We felt like we were in “Somalia,” instead of Haiti!

This morning, we took lots of stuffed animals to the preschool class. They loved them!
