“Obedience is Better than Sacrifice.”

In 1 Samuel 15th Chapter, is the story of King Saul. He was given a command from the Lord to “go and smite Amalek and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel, and ass.” God wanted them “wiped out!” But when Saul went to battle, he did not “obey the Lord!” He took “Agag, the king,” alive, and spared the best sheep, oxen, lambs, etc. When the Prophet Samuel, heard about this, “he cried all night long.” God was furious. He went to rebuke King Saul and then, Samuel killed Agag, the king. He never went to see Saul again. The story brings us to a very important thing. “To obey is better than sacrifice, and to harken, than the fat of rams.” 1 Samuel 15:22

If you even “think” that God has spoken to your heart to do something or go somewhere, “just do it!” Have a blessed day and listen with your heart when God speaks.
