Samuel is now 8 years old! When I look at him, I still see that precious little boy that was brought to us over 7 years ago. He was just a toddler, nearly two, and his mother was not able to care for him. (We do not know anything about his father.) Social Services sent him to us, and we took him in. He had IBS for many years but finally got over it. He does well in school, works hard, and is always pleasant and smiling! He thinks about what he wants to be and sometimes it’s a “truck driver.” (Nearly all Haitian boys want to drive a truck!!!) He is really sweet, but did I mention that he “sings loud and off-key?” (And no… his hearing is fine!) We all love “little Samuel.”
