Widlene Loves to Cook!

You may already know her story and how she and her baby sisters were brought to our house in the mountains of Haiti! Widlene’s mother wanted us to take her two children because she thought she was dying and wanted to find a home for her children.

You may know the story… Madamn Jesula was sent to a hospital only to discover she was anemic and hungry. We took in the mother and both little ones. Widlene just graduated from a two-year course to become a professional cook! Now, she is back in college to finish two more years! When she graduates, she will probably work in her “brothers,” restaurant in Mache Mirak, within walking distance from us! She will be “baking up a storm” wedding cakes, special feasts, etc., and pizzas!

Even though the gangs are just about 8-9 miles from us (we see them from drone footage!) We trust that the Lord will deliver us, and that “life here in Fond Parisien,” will continue, and that the gangs will be dissolved! The Haitians say, “Hope makes us live!” Please remember us and all our orphanage children and the poor Haitians, in your prayers!

God bless you, Sherry
