Our Colin St Louis…

Colin was just a small boy when someone came running to our orphanage shouting that a young boy had a badly burned hand! We brought the child in and our doctor treated his burned hand. He noticed that bits of charcoal clung to his wound. The young boy said, “My mother was cooking rice. We have a big family… and after all the kids got a cup of rice, I reached into the pot to get the scrapings from the side of the pot!” It angered his father so much, that he held Colin’s hand down in the burning pot! Colin’s hand was badly burned!

We called someone from “Social Services,” and they asked us to take the boy in. Colin is now 16 and in 10th grade! He works hard at whatever is needed! He has not made up his mind about what he wants for the future… there are too many gangs and problems. He just wants to graduate from High School. He also loves soccer (he’s the goalie), he loves cards, dominos, music, and “aggravating his sisters!” He is a good and hard worker! Let’s see where his life will take him!
