What a blessing Love A Child has been to the prisoners! With hearts overflowing with joy and loud applause, 293 prisoners at the Anse-à-Veau Civil Prison received not only physical food for their bodies, but also spiritual food for their souls — the powerful Word of God.

For more than a year now, Love A Child has had a faithful team in place, preparing and delivering hot meals every single day to prisoners in two different prisons. Today was extra special. The prisoners enjoyed a beautiful, nourishing meal of rice with beans, salad, macaroni, and chicken. Along with the food, we distributed hygiene kits: toilet soap, toilet paper, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and Kotex for the ladies.

There are currently 25 women in the prison, including one brave young lady who is 5 to 6 months pregnant — and she became pregnant while already incarcerated. Even in these difficult circumstances, your love reached them.

The prisoners asked us to say a big THANK YOU to every donor who supports Love A Child in this ministry. Because of your generosity, they are no longer dying of hunger like they once did. Today they have hope, dignity, and the love of Jesus shown to them in a very real way.

We were also able to give out 3 Bibles today, but we still need many more Bibles and additional hygiene supplies to continue this work. Some prisoners also lack proper clothing for when they appear before the judge or when they are released.
