In the remote village of Baro, in the south of Haiti, something beautiful happened despite the pouring rain. The Love A Child team set out under difficult conditions, driving through relentless rain that had turned roads into rivers of mud. Many would have turned back, but they kept going, because they knew hungry children were waiting.

When word spread that Love A Child had arrived, 216 children came running from every direction — some walking long distances in the rain, their little feet sinking into the mud. The youngest ones who couldn’t make the journey stayed behind, but the older brothers and sisters came prepared. They carried small bags in their pockets, determined to bring food home to their siblings who couldn’t walk. These children weren’t just hungry today. Many of them regularly go two to three days without eating. But on this day, because of Love A Child and faithful donors like you, 216 precious children received a hot, nourishing meal. Their tired eyes lit up. Their empty stomachs were filled. And older siblings carried hope back home in those little bags.
