This week, the students in our 2-year training course expanded their practical experiences by hands-on work preparing new seed beds, tending to young eggplant gardens, using bio-mass for more mulch and compost (natural organic fertilizer), and planting seeds donated to us through our partnership with Hope Seeds International.
These pictures show the students gaining valuable experience putting into practice what they have been learning in the classroom. Now, after they have worked together to make gardens from start to finish, they will have the knowledge, skill, and, importantly, the confidence to replicate at home what they have actually been doing here in our training course.
With these new skills and bolstered confidence, these students can provide food for themselves and their families for a lifetime.
Thank you to Hope Seeds International and to those of you who help so many Haitian families by sponsoring our “Sustainability” programs. You are giving a gift for generations to come.
