Dieubon… His name means, “God is good!” We first met Dieubon when we were conducting a Mobile Clinic in a village not far from Love A Child. At that time, our good friend, Dr. Chester Falterman was working in our Mobile Clinic when Dieubon’s mother came to us with a young boy in her arms. The little boy had clubfeet.

At that time, there were very few surgeons doing the “clubfeet” surgeries here in Haiti. So, Dr. Falterman found a surgeon and a hospital in the States to help Dieubon. He stayed with Dr. Falterman and his wife Debbie for over a year while his surgeries continued. This couple did so much to help Dieubon and the poor of Haiti!

Sadly enough, Dr. Chester went to be with the Lord a few years ago, but his good work has lived on. There is a song that says, “If I can help somebody as I go my way, then my living will not be in vain.”

Dieubon is alive, well, happy, and sending money home to his siblings. He loves his painting job!! He sends money home to his family and siblings each month!! God bless everyone who gives to the poor!
