Things you may not know… “Conditions in Haiti, right now!”
I would say 95% of Haiti does not have electricity. A government official who was visiting us yesterday told me, “The number is higher” than that!
Can you imagine the capital of Haiti, Port-au-Prince, has “zero electricity!” Cap-Haitien… Zero electricity for five years. All the major other cities have “no electricity!” Petionville, a large city, only has very little sporadic electricity.
There has been “no electricity here in Fond Parisien, where we live, for 5 years!” Haiti is in the dark! The only electricity is for those who have a solar panel or a generator.
Port-au-Prince, Haiti airport:
For months, the main airport has been closed, due to the gangs who shot at, and hit, three airlines… American, JetBlue, and Spirit Airlines!
Just recently, the airport opened for the “Haitian-owned airline,” Sunrise, to fly in from Cap-Haitien.
The U.S. State Department has the highest Level Four warning for Haiti. Do not travel.
Haitians who have fled…
Around 800,000 Haitians had to flee from their homes due to gangs invading, leaving everything behind, and living anywhere they could find in difficult conditions.
We have a food crisis here in Haiti. Food prices here are overwhelming.
The price of everything is ‘through the roof!’ Most cannot afford the prices.
Thank you for your prayers and support. We are thankful for you, more than ever. Because of the gangs, our financial support has dropped a great deal. We are here to help the Haitian people/children; we are not leaving Haiti.
Thank you to all of you who have helped financially for us to put in 24 hour solar. Without this, we most likely would have been out of business a long time ago. We are open, blessing the people of Haiti and claiming Haiti for Christ!
Boots on the ground, hands on the plow!
We love you…
