Since we opened our orphanage, we have had seven children with major problems. Miliana is one of them. She was found in the village of Madamn Bauje., not far from Love A Child. At first, we thought she was an abused child with severe malnutrition and emotional problems, but as she grew, we noticed weird growths on her body, mostly on her hands and especially her feet.

We sent her to many Dermatologists in Haiti who could do nothing, and even to the States to a Dermatologist.  They could do little for her. She has been diagnosed with a rare skin disease called “Epidermodysplasia verruciformis (EV).”

However, we have heard from one Dermatologist who said he could remove the growths so that they won’t grow back. We will do anything to help Miliana. We are now renewing her passport and will try to get her out to the doctor. We have sponsoring partners with whom she can stay. Please remember Miliana in prayers.
