A Fearless Adventurer

Joshua was abandoned at our front gate as an 11-month-old infant. He was malnourished and in terrible shape. After being evaluated at our clinic, he was sent to a local hospital for over a month to try to save his life. The doctor thought if he lived, he would have mental impairment due to the severity of his malnutrition. It took him a long time to crawl or walk, but wow, if you could see him now! He is our small but fearless adventurer, and he is so smart! If you’re having trouble finding him, you’d better go see if he is trying to ride one of the donkeys or chasing one of the older kids! And wow, can he talk. He will chat off the ear of anyone willing to listen. The good thing is, with so many brothers and sisters, there is usually someone who is all ears! He is in the 3rd grade, and his favorite food (as of today) is popcorn. His favorite thing to do is play on the playground. When he gets older, he says he wants to work “for money” (good plan Josh), and the kids say he never says no to candy. The little malnourished baby abandoned as an infant is thriving and strong! Our Love A Child Children’s Home definitely wouldn’t be the same without him!
