The village of “New Letant” is unique. “New Letant” used to be in the mud hut village of Old Letant. We built all the families who lived in “mud huts,” a nice block home and put furniture in it. Then, the small earthquakes began to open springs under the lake, and as a result, the water rose and overflowed the roofs of all the houses we built! All of the houses were ruined.

So, after the 2010 earthquake, Pastor Jentezen Franklin sponsored 100 homes for those people. We called this “Kingdom Connection Village” or “New Letant,” These precious families still struggle to have one meal a day…there are no jobs. Some of them go back to the lake to try to fish. Others collect sticks on the ground to sell. Others borrow money on credit to buy food items to re-sell…but after they pay the money back, there is little leftover.

This food, “Manna Packs,” really helps families feed their children. They love this food, which Feed My Starving Children makes. It is good, nourishing food with many, many vitamins and minerals in it. One meal has as much protein as a “chicken breast!”

We are thankful to Feed My Starving Children who make this wonderful food, and thankful to our partners who sponsor this food, all the cost of getting it to Miami, and putting it on the ship, and sending it to Haiti…getting it out of customs and transporting it to Love A Child here in Fond Parisien!
