Wilner Exil, as many of you know, is the Director of our Agricultural Training Center (ATC). I thought his e-mail to me was so cute. He and his team, along with the students, started planting these vegetables (listed below) on Valentine’s Day because they were in love with their planting of vegetables. Well, there is no Valentine’s Day in Haiti. HA!

Good night Big Boss!

We hope everything is going well.

These photos are of the large vegetable plantings we had today. After planting the seeds, we cover them with straw to preserve moisture for them to germinate and protect against strong winds and too much sun. We planted seeds for:

Beets
Carrots
Cucumber
Leek
Spinach

The ATC team spent Valentine’s on the vegetable plantation!
