The Haitians say, “Beyond the mountains are more mountains.” It means, “Beyond the problems you are facing are more problems!”
It is hard enough for poor Haitians to find food when they are surrounded by gangs, who block the roads, and steal “what few pennies (gourdes)” they have. The poorest cannot afford to buy food or even send their children to school.
When they are sick or injured, there are few places to go or few hospitals to help. In the case of Madamn Juna June, she had a “horribly infected thumb finger,” which caused her great pain. She is from an area called “Boulay la Source.”
Our Jesus Healing Center doctors are always on the lookout for the worst cases. Those patients do not have to wait, as they do in some clinics. Madamn Juna had a horrible infection on her thumb, which, if not treated ASAP, would have resulted in amputation or other problems. Our doctors took a long time to soak the thumb with Betadine. They had to use a syringe to remove the infection.
As they worked on her, she told the doctors she had no way to help her children because the border was closed, and she could not work. With tears in her eyes, she talked about the misery of the border being closed. That had been her only source of income to provide food for her children.
We are thankful that our Jesus Healing Center is here to help at no charge for consultations, labs, doctor care, or medicines!
This is possible because the Clinic is sponsored monthly by Joyce Meyer Ministries – Hand of Hope!
God bless you all who keep us in your prayers.
