A Mother Dies…A Father Abandons His Children

Fabiola was just a baby or close to a toddler when her mother died. Her father had to take care of her and her brother, Wiggins, but he also had to make a living. He left the children for “days” when looking for work, and the children became malnourished. So, he turned the children over to the Department of Social Services, and they called us. We took them both in.

Fabiola is one of the best students in her class, but she loves to help around the Children’s Home. She cooks, irons, cleans, and watches the smaller children. Believe it or not, she still loves dolls! Her favorite toy is a “Barbie doll!” She gets her feelings hurt easily and starts to cry. Her nickname is “Kok,” which, in Creole, means “Rooster!”

Fabiola is always looking for work and always smiling! We just really “love her!” She always has the same hairstyle, and she reminds me of “Minnie Mouse!”

We really love her,

Sherry
