During the Christmas holidays, while most people were enjoying some time off with family and friends, celebrating the greatest gift for mankind… the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, six of our dedicated ATC (Agricultural Training Center) staff remained working in our gardens to make sure the vegetables and fruits would be ready to harvest and make their way to the many kitchens at Love A Child.

This week, the staff brought in a large harvest of Chinese cabbage, cucumbers, hot peppers, “sweet” peppers, parsley, eggplant, and okra. These harvests are always greeted with open arms, smiles, and a lot of joy. Our trained gardeners always rotate crops in and out of our now-fertile garden soils, which they have spent so much effort improving over the years.

These bountiful harvests are the result of our teaching and practicing “farming God’s way” techniques.  We give God the glory for His provision through our harvests.
