Esther was a baby in the arms of her poor mother the day we brought her, her mother and little Widelene, her sister, into our orphanage. The children’s father had abandoned them, and Madamn Jesula, their mother, was so thin from not eating.

Now, Esther is attending Aristide’s College here in Haiti to be a dental hygienist.
